EDUCATION IS A PARTNERSHIP

Youth Wellness Hub Engagement Session

The following is a message from Chimo Services...The Richmond Community is submitting a proposal for funding to develop a Youth Wellness Hub (youth 12-24).  We envision a youth hub to be a "one-stop" storefront that is non-stigmatizing and youth-friendly, with accessible hours, and conveniently located.  It will be a hub that brings together primary care (physicians/medical care), mental health services, substance use services, social services, and other youth and family services that reflect that needs of our community.

The timeline to submit the application is very tight, we need to apply by April 22.  We wanted to hear from families in the community around what would be important for them in developing the Youth Hub and be able to use that information in our application for the design of the Youth Hub.

We are calling youth 12-24 to offer us their feedback but we are also inviting parents/guardians to share their thoughts as well.  On April 6th, there will be 2 sessions:
1.  3:30 to 5:30 pm - Youth Engagement Session, Room 340
2.  6:00 to 8:00 pm - Parent/Guardian Engagement Session, Room 345/50

We will have child minding, and a light dinner, and a $10 Tim Horton's gift cards for participants.  We have attached two posters with further details.

Please RSVP to Clay Tang at 604-279-7154 or email ctang@chimoservices.com and mention if childminding and interpretation services are needed. We are happy to answer any other questions you may have, feel free to get hold of us.
