Dear Bulldog families,

Please, see the attached Bulldog Bulletin and Scholastic Book Fair information.

The annual book fair will take place in the library all week.  Thank you to all of you who are able to volunteer and support the fair. 

This is a reminder that the staff parking lot is only for Diefenbaker staff.  We are asking parents and caregivers to not park in this parking lot nor in the street leading to it.  You are welcome to park in the drop off zone.  If the drop off area is full, please park on the neighbourhood streets.  Thank you.

Community fridge at our school

We are pleased to let you know that soon we will have a new snack fridge at our school.  The fridge is funded through the Ministry of Education Feeding Futures Program.  Students will be able to access apples and peeled boiled eggs sometime next week and a greater variety of healthy snacks later in the year. We thank the Richmond Food Bank and Richmond Firefighters who will be delivering and stocking the fridge every two weeks.

We will be guiding our students to make responsible decisions to ensure that there is enough food for those who require it. Teachers will be helping students learn more about the difference between wants and needs and about the purpose of the fridge. In addition, our library recently received new book bundle for our students to learn more about food insecurity. Thank you for your support in having these discussions with your children at home.

This Wednesday we are having Early Dismissal at 11:50 am for Parent-Teacher conferences.  Main office doors will be open all afternoon for you to access your child’s classroom.  Thank you for taking the time to meet with your child’s teacher and discuss your child’s strengths and areas to continue to work on.
