February 13th Bulldog Bulletin

Dear Bulldog families,

Please, see the attached Bulldog Bulletin, SWIS workshop information on Digital wellbeing and mental health and Hugh Boyd project exhibition invitation.

Note that tomorrow Friday, February 14th is District Professional Learning Day for staff. There will not be school in session for students.

Monday, February 17th is BC Family Day Holiday. Schools will be closed.

Thank you for your fantastic support of our school and for your generosity for our Valentine Bake Sale.  The sale was very creative and delicious!

Parking for people with disabilities

We need everyone to be mindful of the blue parking spot in the drop off area for anyone with disability.  At no time should anyone other than a person with disability park on this spot.  Also, please slow down and wait for people with disabilities to enter and leave their vehicle.  Your patience and understanding is very much appreciated especially during the busy drop off and pick up times.

Seismic project begins in March

We are glad to let you know that seismic project work is finally getting underway!  The ground preparation will begin on the back field in the first week of March.  The area will be enclosed by a blue fence and off limits to students and public.  The preparation and drilling of the ground will take about 4 weeks in March.  The field will then rest for about 5 months.

Construction of the foundation will begin as planned in September of 2025.  This is exciting news for our school as the project is officially getting started!

Hold and Secure drill on Wednesday, February 19th at 11:45 am

Hold and Secure is called in a situation that occurs outside the school building, for example a coyote has been sighted or a robbery happens nearby.  In this case, the exterior doors are locked until the situation outside is resolved and safe.  The exterior doors are monitored to allow students and staff to enter. Once inside, no one leaves the building. Our school activities and learning inside the school continue as usual.
