Stay Informed with School Messenger Text Alerts (Opt-In)
Our District uses School Messenger to share important school and district updates, including weather closures, emergency notifications, reminders, and time-sensitive announcements.
All families with a current cell phone number in our MyEdBC database will receive a text message from School Messenger (Text #: 978338) in February 2026. To start receiving text alerts, you will need to opt in.
How to opt in:
- Watch for a text from School Messenger (Text #: 978338).
- Reply with “Y” to 978338.
- You will receive a confirmation message letting you know you’re successfully subscribed.
Want alerts on more than one device?
To receive text alerts on multiple phones, each phone number must opt in separately by replying “Y” to 978338.
Universal Hot Lunch Program coming soon …
Utilizing Feeding Futures as well as National School Food Program funding, the Richmond School district will be providing cost-free lunch twice a month to all students whose families are interested. This is a program offered in addition to our regular PAC Hot lunch. There will be one choice of a meal for everyone. Dairy free, gluten free, halal and vegetarian options will be available. You will be able to order Universal Hot Lunch at a link that will be sent to you in the beginning of February. More details on this program, the kind of meal and how to register your child(ren) if interested, will be shared with you soon.
