Happy Friday, Diefenbaker Families! 

We are happy to let you know that this has been a great first week of back to school.  It has been wonderful to see our students again and to welcome new families to our school community.  

This morning our students successfully moved into their classes for the year, and the transition went smoothly. Well done, Bulldogs! 

I have posted the updated Staff list in the attached Bulldog Bulletin with the outside door numbers to help you meet your child at their outside door next week.

Meet the Teacher

We are looking forward to our annual Meet the Teacher event on Thursday, September 19^thfrom 5 pm to 6 pm.  You are welcome and invited to visit your child’s classroom from 5 – 5:20 pm or from 5:20 to 5:40 pm.  We will then all gather in the school gym to meet all staff from 5:45 to 6 pm.

We are very much looking forward to meeting you and working with you.

Apple Fall Fundraiser

We are excited to bring Sun-Oka Fruit Farms' Apple Fundraiser to our school; providing healthy food choices for families with about a 33% profit for the school. 

Honeycrisp apples are $29.50 per box ($2.95/lb) and our school PAC receives $10 from each box sold.

Ambrosia apples are $23.95 per box ($2.39/lb) and our school PAC receives $8 from each box sold.

Orders can be placed online until Wednesday, October 9, 2024. Delivery will be in mid to late October. This date will be determined in the next few weeks, once Sun-Oka has a better idea on harvest dates. 

Sun-Oka has also introduced a program that enables individuals to earn discounted pricing on their apple purchases by creating a Seller account and sharing their own unique link with their friends and family. You’ll be able to see the details about the program from your dashboard once you have registered for a Seller account. 

The greater the number of people that purchase apples through a user’s unique link the more that user will save; with the discounts going up to $6 off each box.

Picnic in the Park

The ever popular annual Picnic in the Park will be held on Friday, September 27^th from 5 pm to 8 pm.  More details will be sent to you soon from our PAC organizers.
