Emergency Reunification Drill on June 5th at 2 pm - Parent volunteers needed
We will have Drop, Cover and Hold (formerly Earthquake) drill on Friday, June 5th at 2 pm rain or shine. All divisions will gather in the designated area on the basketball court by the playground.
In case the school building is deemed unsafe for re-entry due to many possible factors (earthquake, gas leak, flooding etc.), students will wait outside with their belongings with their class in a designated area. Parents will be contacted by email and text message. Parents will then be asked to pick up their child(ren) as soon as they can from the basketball court designated area.
For this drill, we are asking for parent volunteers to test our system, rain or shine on Friday June 5th from 2 to 2:30 pm. If you are able to come and pick up your child earlier than usual at 2:10 pm, please email Ms. Vosahlo, principal at rvosahlo@sd38.bc.ca. We are looking for about 10 to 20 volunteers.
We very much appreciate you helping us make our emergency preparedness system run as smoothly as possible. This way, we can also make any adjustments needed in case of real emergencies.
Have a great weekend,
Mr. Pantaleo and Ms. Vosahlo
