All year long our Grade 6 and 7 leaders have been working with our younger students on kindness initiatives. They have modelled what kindness to others, self and place looks like during school wide activities, class buddy times and outside as playground leaders.

This spring we had a wonderful opportunity of having McMath Leadership class in our school working with our Grade 6 and 7 leaders on kindness & leadership. McMath Leadership class, taught by Mrs. Kerri Zain, prepared stories and activities on how small, courageous kinds of kindness make a huge difference in helping students feel better and that they belong in our school community.

On April 27th, McMath Leadership student spent the morning with our five Grade 6 and 7 classes. The Diefenbaker students enjoyed learning from their older peers, had an opportunity to ask questions and are looking forward to the next two visits in May and June!
